U.S. Auto Sales Outlook For 2007: Gloomy


Light vehicle sales are running about 4% below last year,and they’ll probably drop about that much more in 2007, according to analysts at a Reuters auto conference in Detroit yesterday.

One of them, IRN Inc. in Grand Rapids, Mich, predicts
U.S. sales will fall to 16.3 million vehicles next year from
an estimated 16.6 million this year. Industry sales totaled
nearly 17.1 million in 2005.
